Badge System
Founding Member Credential

The mark that proves
your store isn't
an easy target.

Most stores have no documented compliance record. The IDR Verified badge is the visible signal that yours does — backed by weekly scans, a cryptographic receipt, and a publicly verifiable registry that updates in real time.

Two Badge Tiers

Founding members get the gold seal.

The first 500 stores receive a permanent Founding Member badge — a distinction no future member receives, ever.

Badge States

The badge reflects your real status.

Every badge calls our live API on every page load. Status updates automatically after every weekly rescan. You never reinstall or update your embed code — the badge handles itself.

INSTITUTE OF DIGITAL REMEDIATIONFOUNDING MEMBERIDRACTIVE

Active

Score ≥ 80, no critical violations. Full gold. The ring pulses. This is the target state — the reward for a clean, well-maintained store.

Gold · Clean Store
INSTITUTE OF DIGITAL REMEDIATIONFOUNDING MEMBERIDRMONITORING

Monitoring

Enrolled and actively monitored. Open violations being remediated. Silver signals you're in the system and working — already more than most stores.

Silver · Active Enrollment
INSTITUTE OF DIGITAL REMEDIATIONFOUNDING MEMBERIDRUNVERIFIED

Expired

Membership lapsed. Badge goes grey and says UNVERIFIED. A grey badge is worse than no badge — it signals you had protection and let it lapse. Reactivating restores full status instantly.

Footer Badge Sizes

Four sizes. One embed code.

Set your preferred size with data-size="52". At 28px the badge renders as an icon only — no caption text.

What customers actually see.

Dark seal on light backgrounds. Gold outline on dark. One data-theme attribute — the badge handles both.

Badge Protection

The badge cannot be faked.

Three layers of protection make unauthorized badge use impossible — and immediately visible to anyone who clicks it.

Live API on every load

The badge calls our API every time the page loads. If the domain isn't registered, it renders grey and says UNVERIFIED. An unauthorized store gets a badge that exposes rather than protects them.

🔗

Domain-locked registry link

Every badge links to idrshield.com/verify/[domain]. If someone copies another store's badge code, clicking it shows the wrong store's registry — immediately exposing the fraud to any visitor who checks.

🖼

Screenshot-protected install

Wix and Webflow users install their badge as a screenshot from their live verify page, linked back to idrshield.com/verify/theirdomain. Anyone who clicks it sees the real registry record — misuse is immediately visible.

Installation

One line of code. Under 5 minutes.

Enter your store domain and Registry ID below to generate fully pre-filled embed codes — ready to paste directly into your theme.

Generate your embed codes

Enter your enrolled domain and Registry ID. Both codes will be fully pre-filled with your store details.

Find your Registry ID in your founding member welcome email or on your member portal account tab.

1Squarespace → Settings → Advanced → Code Injection
2Paste your footer badge code in the Footer field. Click Save.
3For the chip: edit your product page → add a Code Block below the Add to Cart button → paste the chip code.
4Save and verify the badge renders and links to your registry correctly.
1WordPress Admin → Appearance → Theme File Editor → footer.php

1Visit https://idrshield.com/verify/yourdomain in your browser — this is your live public registry page.
2Take a screenshot of the IDR seal at the top of the page. Crop tightly around the badge.
3In Wix or Webflow: add an Image element to your footer → upload the cropped badge image.
4Add a link on the image pointing to https://idrshield.com/verify/yourdomain so any visitor can verify it.
5Note: this is a static image. If your status changes (e.g. from Monitoring to Active), retake the screenshot from your verify page.
1Open your HTML template or layout file.
2Paste the footer badge code above the closing </body> tag.
3Paste the chip code wherever you want the inline badge — below price, below Add to Cart, or in checkout.
4Both scripts load asynchronously and will not affect your page performance score.

Usage Guidelines

The badge earns authority through consistent use.

Every misuse reduces the signal value for every enrolled store.

✓ Correct usage

Dark seal on white, cream, and light backgrounds
Gold outline on black, navy, and dark backgrounds
Always link the badge to your live verification page
Display your Founding Member badge proudly — it cannot be replicated
Keep it as a live embed so the ring pulse signals real-time monitoring

✗ What to avoid

Never place the badge without a working link to your registry record
Never use dark seal on dark backgrounds — use the gold outline instead
Never alter colours, typeface, or add extra shadows or glow effects
Never screenshot and upload as a static image — the animated ring will be missing
Never display Active status if your membership has lapsed — the embed handles this automatically
